Learn the Game

Gaming Lessons

Not everyone who walks onto a casino floor has played before - and 's Gaming Lessons programme exists precisely for that person. Run by senior dealers and floor supervisors with a combined four decades of live gaming experience, the sessions demystify table games in a relaxed, no-pressure setting before the floor opens each afternoon. The programme draws first-time players, international visitors unfamiliar with Australian gaming culture, and experienced players who want to sharpen their understanding of specific game variants before sitting down at a live table.

Gaming Lessons

Daily Pre-Open Sessions

Lessons run Tuesday through Sunday from 11 am to 12:30 pm in the dedicated training salon - a purpose-fitted room with four full-sized tables and no ambient floor noise, so every instruction lands clearly.

Blackjack, Baccarat & Roulette Covered

Each session rotates through the three primary table games on the floor - covering rules, table etiquette, betting structures, and the statistical logic behind common decisions.

Small Group Format

Sessions are capped at eight participants per session to allow the lead dealer to give genuine individual attention - this is not a group lecture, it is a round-table conversation with cards and chips in hand.

Practice Chips Provided

All practice play during lessons uses house-issued non-redeemable chips, so participants can make mistakes, ask questions, and learn without any financial consequence during the learning window.

Electronic Gaming Machine Orientation

A separate 30-minute orientation for electronic gaming machines is available on request - covering machine types, credit systems, and how to interpret payout tables before guests explore the floor independently.

Private One-on-One Tuition

Guests who prefer a private session with a senior dealer - either before arrival or during their stay - can book a 60-minute one-on-one tuition block through the concierge desk, available any morning by advance arrangement.
